My name is Phineas Davenport, a piano tuner and technician servicing the boroughs of NYC. I am a Steinway & Sons authorized tuner and technician and was trained at the New York School of Piano Tuning, Service & Repair under Lou Tasciotti. I currently work for Steinway & Sons, Beethoven Pianos, and The New School/Mannes School of Music as a piano technician.
As a graduate in jazz piano performance from the New School and a musician myself, I take pride and pleasure in making every instrument I work on perform at its best. I treat each and every piano as if it was my own, and seek to give you a tailored experience to help your piano sound the way you want.
Pricings and Services-
Tuning- $185 (including pitch adjustment if your piano has not been tuned in a while)
Voicing- $90 (helps regulate the tone of your piano)
Maintenance/Cleaning and Upkeep- $250 (tightening action screws, lubricating, and more in order to keep your piano in better condition for longer)

-string replacement
-sticking keys, squeaky pedals, and knocking sounds
-piano cleaning
-voicing (for adjusting the tone of your piano)
-action regulation and alignment (adjusts the feel of the keybed and the playability of the piano)
-broken keys and parts
-hammer filing (if hammers need to be reshaped after years of wear)
-piano condition report (included free with other services)
