Doing what you love could not be truer for New Jersey native, and bassist Frankie P. Being involved in music since he was 3 years old, Frankie fell in love with the bass at the age of 13 and never looked back. He is an accomplished teacher who worked in the education system for 9 years as an orchestra teacher before ultimately leaving to pursue and be the artist he has always dreamed of.
Energetic, captivating, and a natural performer, are just a few of the many words to describe Frankie’s personality and his bass playing.
One of the most significant aspects of his bass playing and writing is that every note, riff, and sound is catered to the most important thing…the song. One of his many bass idols is John Deacon of Queen, and his ability to know what to play, when to play, and the underrated intricacies of his parts are what Frankie models after.
Apart from being a bassist, he is also a full time producer, songwriter, and mix engineer. Bass isn't the only instrument he plays. He plays a total of 11 instruments from strings, to brass, woodwind and percussion.
Having started in a classic rock style, Frankie has played with artists spanning from Rock, Country, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Pop, and many others. His career has ultimately led him to Country and Pop, but the experience of his vast styles has helped him become the player he is today on the stage, and in the studio.
No stage is too big or too small for Frankie, because in any show, band, or behind the scenes work, he gives his all. This is very evident from the acts he plays with including his original band Morningside Lane, who has had success on the east coast and internationally, and the very talented, Jessica Rose.
