Quality work requires being thorough with a major focus on ‘attention to detail,’ which is something that should not be rushed. Hence, supplying a flawless edit entails a reasonable time allotment. Turnaround time, consequently, is a primary consideration when I am offered an editing job.
For myself as an editor, only realistic turnover times are accepted; and, in turn, reasonable fee rates are specified.
RESUME WRITER & CAREER COACH
My experience as a UB instructor includes teaching the course, Resume/CV Writing & the Interview Process. Consequently, I have written a large number of resumes and cover letters for countless individuals searching for a new job. Similarly, I have provided instruction on obtaining effective interview skills. During my coaching sessions, I guide clients through the entire job search process, from examining past career experience; identifying and expanding on strengths and past accomplishments; supplying important resources during their job hunt; and establishing the ideal career; to composing that perfect resume and rehearsing for a winning interview.
LIFE COACH
As a certified life coach, I help individuals discover their inherent strengths and uncover their true potential. As a certifiably trained and experienced life coach, I have assisted many clients in accomplishing this, in part, by:
• Identifying their goals
• Creating personal strategies
• Correcting/eliminating 'limiting' or negative beliefs that may exist
• Developing a well-organized plan designed specifically for the individual
In my experience as a life coach, I have found individuals may merely need some direction in their life's path or they may desire something more. They may not even be aware of what they are looking for, but simply know that change is needed. My job is to assist them in discovering what that need may be, provide support, suggest strategies and then establish a plan for obtaining it.
Career and life changes are extremely important; and, we all want to make the right decision in every aspect of these endeavors. Not knowing what direction to take or what will occur once we make a serious change in our lives can be very stressful. However, gaining guidance from someone with experience can ease some of the apprehension and worry, allowing us to be more organized and to think more clearly while we make future plans.
Personally, I have discovered that the clients I work with in this capacity and academically, also gain personal confidence and better self-esteem. Watching this change occur and knowing I can assist others in developing confidence is an extremely rewarding experience.
