I have had some people very close to me suffer through bullying and sexual assault and given my martial arts background (14 years of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, 3 years of Muay Thai and 3 years of Taekwondo); this is my way of giving back to the community.
Unfortunately, most of us will be exposed to a confrontational situation at least once in our lifetime. Hopefully, in the majority of these, we'll be able to talk to our aggressor and avoid getting physical. However, there will be times when the aggressor is a schoolyard bully, an abusive partner, a racist, or a drunk who prides himself in having "50 bar fights" under his belt. In such cases, you or your loved ones have only one option, and that is self-defense. What I love about what I do is mentally and physically preparing you for the day when it counts the most.
