Properly guided Piano Lessons provide transferrable skills such as helping children and adults develop steady gait with their hands and fingers. It will also improve focus and attention to detail. Your lesson will be based on, among many other factors, what level you are at, your needs and where you want to go.
Individualized Vocal Training diagnoses the areas of the Voice that require attention. In Voice, we call these "vocal faults." A Vocal Teacher is a Diagnostician. If we hear that we need to work on pitch, we will work on pitch. If we hear a registration issue, we will work on registration. There are many aspects of Vocal Training. Your training will be based on what your Voice needs.
Children will grow in their confidence in singing and playing in front of an audience through weekly opportunities to perform. This will give them an edge in other arenas of their lives such as Public Speaking engagements.
Performance is optional for adults, but highly recommended. Perhaps an adult could begin by starting a private Youtube Channel and only inviting trusted Friends and Family to view his or her progress. We also have local teacher association events for adult performers.
About the Instructor: Diana Buckholz, B.A., Former Treasurer and Current Voice Chair of Carrollton Music Teachers Association, MTNA, and TMTA Member, fine tuned her natural musical talents during her studies at one of the most prestigious arts schools in the United States, Interlochen Arts Academy. She graduated most recently with a B.A. of Arts in Music from Texas Womans University in Denton, Texas, and formerly with a B.A. in Political Science from The University of Michigan at Flint. She has been teaching Music full-time for fifteen years.
