Hello! I’ve been teaching music lessons to all ages for over a decade. Voice, guitar, piano, ukelele, songwriting. Would love to work with you on songs that you love! My roster includes Bay Area schools in 11 counties, and private lessons in NorCal & SoCal. I work with beginners, intermediate and pros. I support multilingual recording artists with production, editing and also prep students for auditions, performing arts colleges and recording in the studio if that is a goal. We can work online or in person (in San Diego).
Love to sing, perform and teach in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. Also sing and write in 5 languages for band DyaTribal, with Hindustani fusion music from Blues to Brazil.
Grateful to have studied with master musicians, drummers, and dancers around the world for the past 20 years and will share a multi-cultural approach to learning music with you. Although, I've been studying music since piano at age six, my degree in psychology integrates the body, which is a source of power during artistic expression. I trained for four years working in Special Education and am happy to integrate Individualized Education Plans into our lessons.
Music is energy being expressed through the body. Master musicians know how to stay relaxed and egoless enough to allow that energy to course through them while they are playing. I will help you find your creative edges and ride through them to surprise yourself.
I love it when my students have breakthroughs and watching them light up as they unwind from their inner critic and begin to feel more deeply into their expression of music. If I can be witness to that or facilitate this unfolding, I feel joy. I create an environment where this level of trust can occur.
