About

As a working professional singer with a Masters Degree in operatic vocal performance, and a signed indie pop singer, my lessons get students results.

I coach all ages, all styles, from beginner to pro. My students learn all aspects of technique, song interpretation/ performance, and I go the extra mile to facilitate career opportunities and industry introductions when appropriate.

Lauren Carter Vocal Coaching holds a twice annual recital, which is free of charge to all current and former students, to prepare 1 - 2 songs to present onstage, and it's a wonderful opportunity to network with fellow singers and get onstage to perform. (See the videos from the last recital in my profile!)

My students have included touring artists with EMI Records, Sony Records, Motown Records. Clients have received the 'golden ticket' at American Idol auditions, and are frequently scouted by network executives to audition for the top voice reality shows.

In my own career, I have performed at Lyric Opera of Chicago, The House of Blues, The Teragram Ballroom, Hotel Cafe and more. I have appeared in GQ, Esquire, Le Fair Magazine, Runway Magazine, and many additional publications. In 2017 I signed to Turn Up the Pop! Records, and my debut EP 'American Dream' hit the charts in Europe summer 2017, and the title track is nominated for a Hollywood Music in Media Award.

In addition to my private studio, I am on faculty at the French Conservatory in Beverly Hills and spent four years on the faculty of American Musical Dramatic Academy (AMDA) in Hollywood. I have been teaching full time for five years, and maintain my own career as a singer.
