Hi, I'm Jordan of BlueChakra Studios, where students learn EVERYTHING required to express themselves through song!
At BlueChakra Studios we develop mastery of the basics of healthy singing. These follow the natural lay-out of your own unique singing instrument, and they happen to line-up with the Classical singing model. Then, you are ready to "break" (or bend) the rules in order to accommodate all of the different styles! The only styles I don't work with are heavy metal and hard rock.
My career, training and talent have given me tools for teaching my students a number of things, other than "just singing," which aid them in expressing themselves authentically while performing. These are: style, interpretation, acting, and stagecraft. The thing that makes BlueChakra Studios totally unique is its *integrative approach* to teaching voices. It's like a drama class and voice lesson in one!

PLUS I am proud to offer my students the "whole enchilada" by linking all aspects of singing and performance skills with decades of my working with young people as a teacher, mentor and nursery leader.
My unicorn pajama-style onesie, barbie doll props, and multi-cultural instruments all testify that I am willing to go to almost any length to help my younger students experience that singing (and learning to sing) is easy, and fun!
Recordings of my students' staged performances via Zoom or smart phone, and edited voice recitals, offer PRACTICALLY everything a live studio does. And when you consider convenience: even more. Otherwise, live recitals offer the opportunity to learn stage comportment and the experience between live artists and audience we all cherish.

BlueChakra Studios is a great way to supplement your child's normal academic curriculum in the absence of music and theater programs as electives.
$25 for 30 minutes; $35 for 40 minutes; $40 for 45 minutes; and $50 for 60 minutes. I always go over! (Not literally always, but usually.) Unless you explicitly ask me not to. You will definitely get your money's worth.

4. registration, or how to work with your "breaks"

6. reading music (if desired)

11. acting and gesture
12. songwriting and rap
13. performance psychology
I enjoy working outside of my own genre. My students prepare an assortment of music in their lessons, such as: DISNEY SONGS!!! . . . musical theater classics; and pop songs by "pop-legit" songstresses such Alicia Keys, Mariah Carey, and Whitney Houston. Jazz, folk, and alternative pop are also welcome! Clean rap, as well!
