ABOUT ME
Guiding people to vocal freedom is a passion of mine. I've studied this technique with my own teacher for eight years and it is too good not to pass along! I am a professional singer working in the Los Angeles area.
I have a B.A. in Music from UCLA and have extensive professional experience as a performer, having sung in operas, musicals, solo recitals, and choirs. Currently, I am studying towards a Master of Sacred Music at the Jewish Theological Seminary, with a focus on traditional cantorial music.
ABOUT THE LESSONS
A full lesson lasts around 90 minutes, and a half lesson around 45 minutes. We can work together to figure out what fits with your schedule. A lesson will usually be equal parts exercise and repertoire. I can help you find music that suits your voice, and I also expect you to bring me the music you love to sing!
I hold in-person lessons in West Hills. I also teach online, and travel to clients in parts of the SFV and the West Side.

FAQs
"How do I learn to sing?"
Through guided singing and exercise, I will lead you towards your voice's natural beauty and strength.
"But I can’t sing!"
Yes, you can! Like any other physical skill, if you commit to the process, you will improve your voice through this guided study. Many students are quickly surprised with how wide their range actually is.
“But I’m tone-deaf!”
True tone-deafness is pretty rare, so you likely just need some practice. Pitch is learnable. Let’s try it!
"But I'm scared!"
This technique should help with that.
"What will we work on?"
Vocal strength, accuracy of pitch, musicality, coordination and efficiency of breath, and optimization of resonances are some of our goals. We will apply all of this to the music you want to sing.
"When will I see results?"
While this study can go on for as long as you choose to study, you will see results from the beginning.
“Are there any shortcuts?”
No.
“Will you give my ten-year-old child voice lessons?”
No. I take students no younger than thirteen, and sometimes not even that young. Studying this technique too early can be counterproductive.
"You said you sing opera. Will I sound like an opera singer if I study with you?”
Only if you want to sound like an opera singer will you sound like an opera singer. It doesn’t happen on accident. While the technique I teach is traditional bel canto technique used for Italian opera, it will help you with any style of singing, pop included.
COVID POLICY
I am currently asking my in-person students to take an at-home COVID test the day of the lesson before we meet. If you do not have access to a test, let me know and I can arrange it for you. I trust you will reschedule if you are sick, or if you have any symptoms (runny nose, cough, etc.) and you can expect the same from me. Not only do I not want either of us to catch something—a sick voice is vulnerable to damage!
