Hello! My name is Aries, and I have been esoteric studies since I was a teenager. As an adult, I started engaging in meditative, and yogic healing sessions that stemmed from an acting technique called The Linklater technique. This technique utilizes long amounts of meditation, involving various kinds of meditation from relaxation meditation, and various chakras in order to release *natural* sound an energy for the actor. After a year of religiously meditating an hour daily, my body finally snapped into a beautiful relaxation that finally enabled my mind to let go. I also used to teach belly dance, so I am a strong believer in healing through breath, movement, sound, smell, and sometimes touch.
I embarked on my journey in tarot in 2015, after my ex husband gifted me a tarot deck (which is probably the only good thing he ever did for me lol), and I was automatically entranced by the pictures and symbology of the deck. I did read through the pamphlet and already had a basic understanding of astrology and the elements. As I embarked on my journey, I read every book on tarot I could get my hands on. I learned how to not only objectively look at the cards, but also learned about how they affected me intuitively. I believe that any art takes practice, study, devotion, and application. The application I would use for tarot would be pulling 1-3 cards a day, writing down the objective aspect of the pictures, as well as their subjective effect on me. At the time, I kept on receiving the card that’s the 6 of swords. It involves a woman on a boat, with her child and an oarsmen, ready to traverse new worlds. And in that year, I moved 3,000 miles from Ohio to LA.
About 3 years ago, I was introduced to ancient astrology, otherwise known as Hellenistic astrology by another ex of mine, and yes, it was the best gift he ever gave me. After I was shown the astrology of the minor cards in tarot, I was off to the races for astrology. The first book I read was Chris Brennans “Ancient astrology: a study of fate and fortune,” a 600 page book with small letters at that. This book is used at universities, particularly Kepler college, the only university in the USA dedicated to only astrology. The next books I read were Demetra George’s two part series, “Hellenistic astrology: assessing planetary conditions,” and her second book on astrological houses. I also have read renn butlers “archetypal universe,” and shamanic astrology by Daniel giamerro and Cayelin k castell. I’ve done at least 50 or more charts for free, and continue to give smatterings of information on my Facebook page, and have a group dedicated to astrology of any kind, as well as free events. Astrology and tarot are not only my passions, they’re intrinsically tied into my soul as well. My mission is to educate, inspire, answer questions, and mainly, to heal.
As a child, I always felt like “the other,” whether I was in the USA, or overseas. I am a first generation immigrant, and a child to Middle Eastern parents. I was born into a certain faith, but never pushed to practice it; my father is “spiritual,” yet not religious, and my mother is a “moralist.” As a young child, I went to every kind of religious area of practice I could, just to learn about religion. I’ve attended Catholic Church, mosque, synagogue, Hindu services, as well as Buddhist. I consider myself spiritual, and the common thread line in religion that is beautiful is about Love.
People have always been drawn to me when they need an answer or an explanation that includes depth, weight, and clarity. I’m an open book and wear my heart on a sleeve. I’ve been in predicaments from the good, the bad, and the ugly. I will open my heart to you, and hopefully you will (intuitively, I know you will!)open your heart to me.
