Thames Tax & Bookkeeping Solutions was founded in 2018, but that is not where our story began. Our CEO and founder, Contessa Thames, started preparing taxes in 2003 with the largest tax company in the United States, H&R Block. There was an instant enthusiasm and passion as she began to learn how to prepare taxes. She spent two years with them learning and understanding the tax industry before deciding to look for growth. From 2005 to 2012 she
managed a local tax office at Fas Tax in Pearl. During this time she experienced phenomenal growth and gained an appreciation for the important roles of superior customer service, attention to detail and tax law knowledge. Next in her journey she managed a tax office for a franchisee for the second largest tax preparation company in the US, Liberty Tax Service, from 2012 to 2013. Along with a business partner, she became a franchisee herself and from 2013 to 2018, she owned and operated four Liberty Tax Service office locations. Now, Contessa, happily owns and operates Thames Tax and Bookkeeping Solutions. We now have one Jackson location. She is so fortunate to operate this office with wonderful people who share her enthusiasm for exceeding customer expectations, continuing education and having fun! With nearly 20 year of experience and a wide array of experiences, we have thousands of amazing customers that we consider to be not only our top priority but more than that, friends.
