As a former Division 1 athlete and team captain at Brown and Fordham Universities, and head Men's and Women's varsity tennis coach at St. Joseph Notre Dame High School in Alameda, I bring a wealth of experience, passion, and strategic insight to tennis coaching at Scott Felluss Tennis Academy. Specializing in instruction across all levels—from first-time players to future professionals—I create a disciplined yet inspiring training environment rooted in both rigorous academic research and proven on-court methodologies.
To make this work more accessible, I now offer sessions through a new rhythm-based model. The base session rate is $40, which secures your spot and gets us into motion. After the lesson, down the line, you’re welcome to offer additional support through a personal contribution—only if it feels aligned—toward The Vale Foundation, a project I run that helps sustain this coaching work and expands access to others, especially those with mental health challenges. No pressure, just an open system of shared value.
I coach in the Bay Area at large and am one of the select few coaches officially authorized to teach on San Francisco’s public courts—a privilege granted only through a stringent city approval process. Most independent coaches are not permitted to operate legally on these courts, making this credential a hallmark of my professionalism, accountability, and standing within the tennis community.
As an Ivy League Champion and Atlantic 10 Division 1 Coach, I have developed a transparent, systematically structured approach that cultivates not just technical excellence but also creativity, imagination, and tactical sophistication. Every program I offer is personalized, with clear goal-setting, open communication, and regular performance evaluations—ensuring each player feels truly valued and steadily progresses.
I hold a Doctorate in Theater and Performance Studies from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in Honolulu, and a Master's Degree in English from Mills College at Northeastern University. My education sharpens my coaching philosophy, enabling me to train serious competitors, creatively, who balance intensity with adaptability.
