Violinist, Vocalist and Arranger Chiara Fasi breathes new life into traditional live string performances. She has shared the stage and recorded with notable artists such as Miley Cyrus, Mark Ronson, Solange, The Roots, Jay-Z, John Legend, Kanye West, Chaka Kahn, Usher, Tyler the Creator, and Lauryn Hill to name a few. Her television performance credits include The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Saturday Night Live, BET Black Girls Rock, MTV Music Awards, The Victoria Secret Fashion Show, and Univision Awards show.As a soloist she has opened for Talib Kweli, Major Hype at Kings Theatre, and was featured performer at the Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival. Also a band leader and vocalist, her instrumental group the "Chiara Collective" has performed at BET Black Girls Rock, Highline Ballroom, Blue Note NYC, Le Poisson Rouge, Nublu NYC, Chelsea Music Hall, and Apollo Theatre. As a soloist for private events, recent clients include Uggs, Courvoisier, and Budweiser.
A talented arranger, composer and producer, Chiara has composed & arranged strings for the BET Documentary “Martin: The Legacy of King”, arranged strings for the educational website “Flocabulary”, and for the short film “Moves We Make”, and a recent holiday commercial for Seguras Viduas. As an educator she has contributed to the music curriculum with the non profit organization “Music and the Brain, and currently teaches in the TEP Contemporary Music Program at Long Island University.
