What is a Public Adjuster?
If you’ve never had a major insurance claim before, it is likely you are not familiar with our profession. A Public Adjuster is professional claims handler who advocates for the policyholder in appraising & negotiating insurance losses. They legally represent the rights of the property owner not the insurance company. Public Adjusters must be licensed by each state they work in after passing a strict examination administered by the Division of Insurance. The exam requires a comprehensive knowledge of insurance policies, first party claims procedures and construction costs.
