I do this as a service to the Lord. I hold the wedding ceremony to be sacred. Therefore, I take it very seriously. I do not charge "an arm and a leg" to do the service. I do not go into a lengthy "counseling session" with the bride and groom just to "generate some money" with the end result being the "approval" of the wedding.
I believe if the bride and groom to be are adults that have entered into the agreement to be married and have sought the Lord's guidance in doing so - then they should be married.
The fees charged are really to help offset some of my expenses and still leave some as a donation to our ministry. I do not take any of the money for personal use. It is all used for the ministry. Therefore, at the end of year, the couple will also receive a letter detailing the donation and they can use that letter for income tax deduction purposes.
Serving the Lord Jesus Christ. The marriage ceremony symbolizes what Jesus will be doing with the born again believers at "The Great Wedding Banquet" in Heaven!
