In 2003, AHA used $5 million in HOPE VI funds to acquire a 92 unit, market-rate development known as Nutgrove Garden Apartments. The acquisition was part of the North Albany HOPE VI replacement housing units. 46 units are rented at market-rate rents and 56 units are earmarked for low-income families.
