Sandy Oaks is located off Douglass Road at 804 Jordan St. There are 38 resident units ranging in size from 1 to 4 bedrooms. A stove and refrigerator are provided in each unit. Residents are responsible for all utilities. All units have central heat and air conditioning. Some one bedroom units have wheelchair ramps and bathroom handrails for those who are aged or disabled. Sandy Oaks has a community room, a small computer lab, large playground and basketball court, which are available for resident use.
Both sites have excellent on-site laundry rooms for resident use. Their residents have access to activity programs, which may include such amenities as homework assistance and tutoring for their student population; computer literacy courses for both adults and children, arts and craft classes and courses in English as a second language for our Spanish speaking residents. Residents have input into the activities that may be offered.
