East Oaks Section 8 Project-Based Voucher Waiting List

The Housing Authority of the City of Americus (HAA) is accepting Section 8 Project Based Voucher waiting list applications for East Oaks Apartments from September 6, 2023, until further notice.

This waiting list is for the following property:

• East Oaks Apartments, located at 252 Lonnie Ln, Americus, GA 31709.

To apply while the waitlist is open, complete the online application.

This waiting list has the following preferences: 

• Residency (live or work in Sumter county)
• Terminated as a tenant of HAA due to insufficient funding from HUD
• Involuntarily displaced (natural disaster, Federal displacement etc)
• Veteran or widow/widower of Veteran with Honorable discharge
• Working/Elderly/Disabled Families (Working families must have 1 adult member working 20 hrs or more a week to qualify)
• VAWA Victim (Domestic Violence Victim)
• 50% Overburdened Family (Working/Elderly/Disabled family that pays over 50% of income for Rent & Utilities)

It is not known how applicants will be placed on the waiting list, by order of preferences.
