Barnes Butte Vista, 3-Bedroom Section 8 Project-Based Voucher Waiting List

Housing Works last accepted Section 8 Project Based Voucher waiting list applications for Barned Butte Vista Apartments from July 22, 2024, until July 26, 2024. There is no notice when this waiting list will reopen.

This waiting list was for the following property:

• Barned Butte Vista Apartments - Offering 2 and 3-Bedroom units.

Preferences

This waiting list had the following preferences: 

• Applicants that reside in Crook, Deschutes or Jefferson Counties or whose household includes a family member who works, or has been notified that they are hired to work, in Crook, Deschutes or Jefferson Counties.

Please note: According to Housing Works "Additionally, this waitlist has two different preferences for individuals working with Saving Grace or the local VA office. For the 8 Project Based Voucher units, (3) have a preference for survivors of domestic violence working with Saving Grace, (2) have a preference for homeless veterans working with the local VA office, and (3) are designated for the general public."

Selection Process

Selected applicants were placed on the waiting list by random lottery, weighed by order of preferences.

Application Method

To apply while the waitlist was open, applicants were required to print the paper application.

Once the application was completed, it was to be either:

1. Dropped off in person at the drop box at the front of the Housing Works building.
2. Faxed to Housing Works.
3. Emailed to Housing Works.
