Studio and 5-Bedroom Public Housing Waiting List

The Gainesville Housing Authority (GHA) is accepting Public Housing waiting list for Studio and 5-Bedroom apartments from July 31, 2024 at 10:00 am ET, until 200 applications have been received.

Income Qualification

The maximum income limits for each household size are as follows:

• 1 Person $39,850 | 5 Persons $61,500
• 2 Persons $45,550 | 6 Persons $66,050
• 3 Persons $51,250 | 7 Person $70,600
• 4 Persons $56,900 | 8 Persons $75,150

Preferences

This waiting list has the following preferences:

• Person who are elderly, displaced, homeless, or persons with disabilities. 1 point.
• Person who is not currently receiving any federal subsidize housing assistance. 1 point.
• Working families, where the head, spouse, or sole member is employed at least 25-30 hours per week. 2 points.
• All others by the oldest date and time of applications.

Selection Process

200 selected applicants will be placed on the waiting list by date and time the application is received, by order of preferences.
