The Smithville Housing Authority (SHA) is currently accepting Public Housing waiting list pre-applications for families and senior/disabled households.The SHA offers one Public Housing community with 106 units for families and senior/disabled households, ranging in size from studios to 3 bedrooms.There are two ways to apply:

  1. Visit the SHA to pick up a pre-application, located at 161 County Road F, Smithville, MO 64089, from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm CT, Monday-Friday.
  2. Download a pre-application online here, then print and complete.
Once the pre-application has been completed, it must be hand delivered to the address listed above from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm, Monday-Friday.Be sure to include these documents with the pre-application: Birth certificates and Social Security Cards of all household members, driver's license or State ID of all adults, income verification from all sources, copy of divorce decree (if applicable), copy of award of custody (if applicable, and if not identified in the divorce decree).No preferences were noted.For more information, visit the SHA website, or call the office at (816) 532-3744 from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm, Monday-Friday.
