South Bend, Indiana Section 8 Voucher Waiting List

The Housing Authority of South Bend (SBHA) last accepted Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from March 14, 2023, until March 16, 2023. There is no notice when this waiting list will reopen however, the SBHA website says it is likely to open in late 2024 or early 2025.

To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to complete the online application.

This waiting list had the following preferences:

• Local Residency
  • Living in South Bend at time of electronic application
• Homeless

Selected applicants were placed on the waiting list by date and time the application was received, by order of preferences.
