East Chicago, Indiana Section 8 Voucher Waiting List

The East Chicago Housing Authority (ECHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is closed.

The ECHA last accepted applications for this waiting list from October 2nd, 2024, until 1,000 applications were received. There is no notice when this waiting list will reopen.

We are not sure when the 1,000th application was received but by the afternoon of October 1, 2024, the application portal had closed.

To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to complete the online application.

Preferences have not yet been confirmed.

It was not known how applicants were placed on the waiting list.
