Keokuk, Iowa Limited Section 8 Voucher Waiting List

The Keokuk Housing Authority (KHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently open on a limited basis, from May 17, 2019 until further notice.

Please note: According to the KHA, "The Waiting List is open for the acceptance of Pre-Applications to households with gross annual income at orbelow the Extremely Low Income Limits as published by HUD." Income limit information can be found here.

There are two ways to apply:

1. Pick up an application at the lobby area of the Mississippi Terrace building, KHA office, located at 111 South 2nd Street, Keokuk, Iowa 52632, Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm CT.
2. Send a written request along with a self-addressed and postage stamped envelope to the Keokuk Housing Authority at the address above.

Once the application has been completed, it must be either:

1. Dropped off at the KHA office the address above, during office hours.
2. Mailed to the KHA office at the address above.

Applications will also be distributed to social service agencies and organizations known by KHA that provide services and assistance to families least likely to apply in response to KHA public notice.

This waiting list has the following preferences: Elderly, Disabled, or Households with Children.

Selected applicants will be placed on the waiting list by date and time the application is received.
