East Central Kansas Economic Opportunity Corporation Section 8 Voucher Waiting List

Please note: The East Central Kansas Economic Opportunity Corporation Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher program covers the Counties of Anderson, Coffey, Franklin, Lyon, Miami, and Osage. Douglas and Johnson Counties are not covered by this program.

The East Central Kansas Economic Opportunity Corporation (ECKAN) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently open. This waiting list is open indefinitely.

To apply, download and print the online pre-application here.

According to The Emporia Gazette, pre-applications can also be requested by calling the ECKAN office at (785) 242-7453, or picked up at the ECKAN Lyon Community Center, located at 215 W. Sixth Ave., Suite 205, during normal office hours..

Once the pre-application has been completed, applicants can submit it in person to the local community center of their respective county. As noted by The Emporia Gazette, applications can also be faxed to (785) 229-3103, or mailed to ECKAN Housing, PO Box 40, Ottawa, KS 66067.

There are no preferences.

Qualified applicant will be placed on the waiting list by order of date and time it was received.
