Wayne County, Michigan Section 8 Voucher Waiting List

The Melvindale Housing Commission (MHC) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently closed. Applications were last accepted from February 20, 2020, until February 25, 2020. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to complete the online application.

This waiting list had the following preferences:

• Families who live or work in the City of Melvindale
• Honorable Discharged Veterans

1,000 applicants were placed on the waiting list by random lottery, weighed by order of preferences.
