Poughkeepsie, New York Section 8 Voucher Waiting List

The City of Poughkeepsie Section 8 HCV Office last accepted Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from September 13, 2023, until October 4, 2023. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

To apply while the waiting list was open, applicants were required to pick up an application from the Section 8 Housing Office.

Once the application was completed, it was postmarked by October 4, 2023, and mailed to The City of Poughkeepsie Section 8 HVC Office.

The maximum income limits for each household size were as follows:

• 1 Person $41,650 | 5 Persons $64,300 
• 2 Persons $47,600 | 6 Persons $69,050
• 3 Persons $53,550 | 7 Persons $73,800
• 4 Persons $59,500 | 8 Persons $78,550

This waiting list had the following preferences: preference will be given to Dutchess County residents.

It was not known how applicants will be placed on the waiting list.
