Area 1 Section 8 Voucher Waiting List

The Tennessee Housing Development Agency (THDA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list for Area 1 is currently closed. Applications were last accepted for one day only on March 18, 2021. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

• Area 1 includes the following counties: Anderson, Bedford, Benton, Blount, Campbell, Carroll, Claiborne, Clay, Cocke, Coffee, Crockett, Decatur, Dekalb, Dyer, Fentress, Franklin, Gibson, Giles, Grainger, Hamblen, Hardeman, Hardin, Haywood, Henderson, Henry, Hickman, Houston, Humphreys, Jackson, Jefferson, Knox, Lake, Lauderdale, Lawrence, Lewis, Lincoln, Loudon, Macon, Marshall, McNairy, Monroe, Moore, Morgan, Obion, Overton, Perry, Pickett, Putnam, Roane, Scott, Sevier, Smith, Stewart, Union, Van Buren, Warren, Wayne, Weakley and White County, Tennessee

To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to complete the online application.

This waiting list had the following preferences:

• Involuntary Displacement Due to Natural Disaster Preference.
• Local Residency Preference.
• Elderly or Disabled Families Preference.

Selected applicants were placed on the waiting list by date and time the application is received, weighed by order of preferences.
