Brattleboro, Vermont Section 8 Voucher Waiting List

The Brattleboro Housing Authority (BHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently closed. Applications were last accepted from February 16, 2021 until March 15, 2021. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

Please note: According to the BHA public notice "A limited number of Section 8 vouchers will be available specific to those households with a member that has a disability and is under 62 at the time of application."

There were two ways to apply during the opening period:

1. Complete the online application.
2. Call the BHA to request an application

This waiting list had the following preferences:

• You must either live, work or have notice to work in the following communities to receive our residency preference, yet all are eligible to apply. Residency preference includes the towns of Brattleboro, Vernon, Guilford, Halifax, Marlboro, Newfane, Brookline, Putney, and Dummerston. 

It was not known how applicants were placed on the waiting list.
