State of Vermont Disaster and Transitional Housing Section 8 Voucher Waiting List

The Vermont State Housing Authority (VSHA) last accepted Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications for households that qualify for the Disaster and Traditional Housing preferences is currently open. Applications are being accepted from April 1, 2018, until December 22, 2023.

There were three ways to apply during the opening period:

1. Download and print the application online.
2. Pick up an application from the VSHA office.
3. Call the VSHA intake office.

This waiting list had the following preferences: Displaced by natural disaster or government action, transitional housing, Category 1 homeless as defined by HUD (limited to 100 applicants).

Selected applicants were placed on the waiting list by date and time the application was received, by order of preferences.
