Hi, I’m Charles Neal, and I’m passionate about helping students unlock their full musical potential. With over 20 years of teaching experience and a lifetime dedicated to music, I offer personalized music lessons in Portland, OR, designed to meet your unique goals and interests.

Extensive Experience: My journey in music includes decades of performing, composing, and teaching, as well as earning an Associate’s Degree in Professional Music from Berklee College of Music.
A Passion for Teaching: What I love most about my work is helping students discover their creativity and build confidence in their abilities. Watching someone light up when they achieve a breakthrough is the most rewarding part of what I do.
Comprehensive Lessons: I teach piano, drums, djembe, marimba, and synthesizer while also covering advanced skills like improvisation, reharmonization, and music composition. For those interested in production, I provide training in audio production and engineering.
Flexible and Engaging Methods: My lessons are customized to fit your learning style and goals, whether you’re just starting out or looking to refine your skills. Together, we’ll create a plan that’s both effective and fun.
