Hello! My name is Brandon. I’m an American and English is my native language, and I want to help my students read and speak better English.
My students and I have a lot of fun during our lessons, and we quickly become friends as they learn English grammar, pronunciation, speaking skills, and US culture and history.
I understand that leaning a new language can sometimes feel intimidating, so I create a safe environment where students feel free to make mistakes with no judgement from their tutor. I studied French in school (and I picked up a little Spanish and Portuguese along the way) so I know that it can be difficult to learn a new language.
My goal is to make you feel comfortable with me during your English lesson and we will soon be having fun conversations together. We will learn lots of vocabulary and phrases that Americans use everyday (which you might have heard in American movies or TV shows).
Some students start lessons with just a little English knowledge. Other students can speak English okay but want to get improve their speaking skills or vocabulary; each student will get a custom lesson plan to help with their goal.
I also help students with the CELPIP English exam for immigration into Canada.
It’s a privilege to learn about my student’s culture and home country as they learn English with me!
***My education***
I have a diploma from a leading Canadian college in “Teaching English as a Second Language” where I taught students from all around the world.
I’ve had private one-on-one students from Brazil, South Korea, Mexico, Turkey, Japan, and China.
I earned a Bachelor’s degree in History and Political Science from a 4-year public university in the United States.
***Lesson fees***
Each of my students start with a free 1-hour introductory lesson where we meet each other online and I learn about their English level. I will give a recommendation for a lesson plan for future lessons after the lesson.
After your introductory hours, lessons are $38 (US) per lesson (1 hour).
I also offer discount lesson packages:
- 3 lesson package = $96 ($32 per lesson)
- 6 lesson package = $180 ($30 per lesson)
- 9 lesson package = $252 ($28 per lesson)
-12 lesson package = $300 ($25 per lesson)
