I am a performer, composer, educator, and advocate. I have been teaching for four years and am a member of the faculty at the Community Music Center of Boston, where my studio includes students aged 7 to 24, in genres including (but not limited to) pop, musical theatre, classical, and R&B, at all levels of experience. I work to free the student's musical expression by nurturing what the student already does well while removing blocks and unnecessary tensions that ensnare them.
I earned my MM at New England Conservatory of Music in Vocal Performance and Vocal Pedagogy and my BM in Vocal Performance and Music Theory from Stetson University. I integrate principles of cutting-edge voice science with a constant return to the emotional impulses that lead us to communicate. My students report feeling greater confidence both in their voices and in their person.
I am especially passionate about training trans* singers who want to build a voice that better represents them. I believe anyone can learn to sing with a healthy, sustainable technique in whatever style they choose. I would love to help you along your journey!
