Homeless Single Room Occupancy Section 8 Project-Based Voucher Waiting List

The Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority (NRHA) Single Room Occupancy Project-Based Voucher waiting list is currently closed. It is not known when this waiting list was last open, or when it will reopen.

Please note:

• Single Room Occupancy apartments are for single individuals only.
• Applicants must be homeless (applicants residing with family members or friends will not be considered homeless).
• A list of communities can be found here, under the "Single Room Occupancy (SRO-PBV)" section.

There were two ways to apply during the opening period:

1. Download and print the application online.
2. Pick up an application on the second Thursday of each month.

Once the application was completed, it must have been mailed to the NRHA Occupancy Department. Hand delivered, faxed, Federal Express or certified mailed applications were not accepted.

There were preferences, and they were listed on the application.

It is not known how applicants were placed on the waiting list.
