Church Street Station Section 8 Project-Based Voucher Waiting List

The Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority (NRHA) last accepted Section 8 Project-Based Voucher waiting list applications for single-room apartments at Church Street Station Apartments from February 20, 2024, until March 19, 2024. There is no notice when this waiting list will reopen.

Please note: According to the NRHA public notice "Church Street Station is for unhoused individuals onlys"

There were two ways to apply while the waitlist was open:

1. Complete the online application.
2. Print the paper application that was available on the NRHA website.

Once the paper application was completed, it was to be either:

1. Mailed to the Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority.
2. Hand delivered to the NRHA office.

This waiting list has the following preferences:

• Residents of Norfolk
  • includes families employed in Norfolk, seniors, and those with disabilities (20 points)
• Working
  • includes head of household or spouse or sole member who is age 62 or older or is a person with disabilities or where the head of the household is the primary caregiver for a household member with a disability. Minimum 15 work hours per week for non-elderly and applicants without disabilities. (10 points)
• Veterans (5 points)

It was not known how applicants were placed on the waiting list, weighed by order of preferences.
