The Low Rent Housing Agency of Knoxville (LRHAK) is currently accepting Public Housing waiting list pre-applications for families and senior/disabled individuals.Please note: The LRHAK does not offer one bedroom units.The LRHAK offers one Public Housing community with 49 units for families and senior/disabled individuals, ranging in size from 2 to 4 bedrooms.There are two ways to apply:

  1. Visit the LRHAK to pick up a pre-application, located at 305 S 3rd St., #1, Knoxville, IA 50138, during normal office hours.
  2. Request to have a pre-application mailed to you by calling (641) 828-7371 during normal office hours.
Once the pre-application has been completed, it can be mailed or hand delivered to the address listed above.Be sure to include these documents with the pre-application: Social Security Cards, and if claiming the residency preference, include documentation.The LRHAK does have a preference for: Applicants who live and/or work in Knoxville.For more information, the LRHAK can be reached by calling (641) 828-7371 during normal office hours.
