Senior Public Housing Waiting List

The Los Angeles County Development Authority (LACDA) last accepted Senior Public Housing waiting list applications for Carmelitos Senior, South Bay Gardens Senior, East County Senior Sites, West Knoll/Palm Senior, Marina Manor Senior, Orchard Arms Senior and Foothill Villa Senior Apartments from April 15, 2024, until April 30, 2024.

Please note: "For Senior-Only Designated Housing Developments:

• Must be 62 years of age and older.
• Annual income must be within the current limits set by HUD.
• Meet the income limits based on the current median household income in Los Angeles County."

This waiting list was for the following properties:

• Carmelitos Senior
• South Bay Gardens Senior
• East County Senior Sites 
• West Knoll/Palm Senior
• Marina Manor Senior
• Orchard Arms Senior
• Foothill Villa Senior Apartments

Income limits could be found here.

This waiting list had the following preferences: 

• Victims of declared disasters
• Displaced due to government action
• Referrals from law enforcement agencies
• Homeless
• Elderly households who live and/or work in Los Angeles County, California
• Elderly family is a family whose head (including co-head), spouse, or sole member is a person who is at least 62 years of age.(It may include two or more persons who are at least 62 years of age living together, or one or more persons who are at least 62 years of age living with one or more live-in aides.)
• Veterans

Selected applicants were placed on the waiting list by date and time the application was received, by order of preferences.

There were two ways to apply while the waitlist was open:

1. Complete the online application.
2. Call the LACDA to request an application.
