Area XV Multi-County Housing Agency Section 8 Voucher Waiting List

Please note: The Area XV Multi-County Housing Agency covers the counties of Appanoose, Davis, Jefferson, Keokuk, Lucas, Mahaska, Monroe, Van Buren, Wapello, Washingon, and Wayne, IA.

The Area XV Multi-County Housing Agency (AXVMCHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently open until further notice.Please note: Each county has its own waiting list. Be sure to mark which county and bedroom size you would like to be placed on.There are two ways to apply: 

1. Visit the AXVMCHA to pick up a pre-application, located at 417 N College St, Agency, IA 52530 during normal office hours.
2. Request to have a pre-application mailed to you by calling (641) 937-5222 during normal office hours.

Once the pre-applicaton has been completed, it can be mailed or hand delivered to the address listed above.Be sure to include copies of these documents with the pre-application: Social Security Cards, photo IDs for all adult household members, and if claiming the residency preference, you need to supply documentation.The AXVMCHA does have a preference for: Applicants who live and/or work in the counties served by this office.For more information, the AXVMCHA can be reached by calling (641) 937-5222 during normal office hours.
